Motorcycle Preparation for the NRS

It is no longer necessary to prepare your motorcycle to pass AFM tech inspection guidelines for the NRS*. To attend the American Federation of Motorcycles (AFM) approved New Racers School (NRS) with Pacific Track Time you only need to make sure your bike will pass a regular track day tech inspection.

The following are motorcycle and safety equipment guidelines to participate in our NRS:

Motorcycle Preparation:

• Simply disconnect the taillight - that's about it!
• Tires and brakes in excellent condition.
• Chain and sprockets in good condition.
• Tape or remove any mirrors and/or glass.
• Ethyl-glycol based coolants are allowed (i.e. Antifreeze).

Safety Equipment:

• Damage-free, DOT full-faced helmet with face shield.
• One or two-piece full zip-together leather or Aerostitch textile style riding suit.
• Undamaged leather gloves with full wrist coverage.
• Riding boots that fully cover the ankle.
• Back protector highly recommended.

*The motorcycle will need to meet AFM Tech Inspection standards prior to participating in a sanctioned AFM event.
