New Racer School Daily Schedule

New Racer School Daily Schedule

The following schedule will give you an idea of what your day will look like while taking Pacific Track Time's AFM-approved NRS.
7:00AM-7:30AM -
Arrive at the track.
Before you enter the paddock you will be required to sign the track's release waiver. After you enter find a place to park, unload your bike and gear and set-up your pit area. Then head on over to registration without your bike.
7:30AM-8:15AM -
Register.
Registration is located near the hot pit/track entry and can be identified by a large banner reading "Pacific Track Time Registration". At registration you will sign Pacific Track Time's Release of Liability waiver and receive a "proof of registration".
Tech Inspection.
After you register, get your bike and bring it to Technical Inspection, clearly marked, by small orange cones near the registration area. Show the tech inspector your "proof of registration" and they will check your bike. A list of motorcycle safety requirements can be viewed HERE. All motorcycles must pass tech inspection before they are allowed to enter the track. This is for everyone's safety and leads to a more enjoyable day for all.
8:15AM - Rider registration and tech inspection close.
This ensures ample time to arrive at the riders meeting and both will re-open after the meeting has ended.
8:30AM-9:00AM -
MANDATORY riders meeting begins.
Everyone intending to ride that day must attend the riders meeting. No exceptions. This meeting is held in the racetrack's hospitality room and covers very important information for that particular day.
9:00AM-11:00AM -  Classroom lesson.
This class is for all NRS students and will teach you important information about riding with the AFM. It is lead by one of our trained instructors, AFM racer & board member and lasts approximately 2 hours. This person will also be your contact throughout the day. After the classroom lessons you will take a written test based on what you learned.
11:00AM-12:00AM -
NRS students on track.
NRS students will then be sent "on-course" wearing a brightly colored belt (provided by PTT), to identify students from other track riders, and ride as you would a normal event in your designated group. However, you will be monitored by our on-track instructors throughout the day and may be picked for additional on-track education.
12:00PM-1:00PM -
Track closes for lunch.
We ensure the track caf/grill is open for both breakfast and lunch. Varied menus are offered from burgers to salads.
1:00PM-4:40PM -
Track Re-Opens
NRS students will go through a riding evaluation by one of our official AFM instructors. Riding evaluation times and student-instructor pairing is arranged by your classroom instructor and you will be notified with ample time prior to the evaluation.
4:40PM -
Race Start Practice
There will be several practice "race" starts to give NRS students an idea of what real race starts feel like and to better prepare you for your first of many races! Providing you pass the written test, riding evaluation, and don't crash, you will be given a certificate of successful completion and return your belt at the end of the day.
5:00PM -
Track closes.
Congratulations, we hope you've now entered an elite group as a motorcycle racer with a competition license that was approved by some of the fastest AFM'ers in the club!
